A plugin designed (in 5 days) for creatives to manage tasks directly in their inbox.

Get in Touch:

Panel UI

In a Design Sprint exercise, I conceptualized and designed a Gmail plugin for creatives to manage projects and tasks from their inbox. In 5 days, I designed a multi-view app where users could create and manage projects and associated tasks.

App core functionality outlined

Sketch Symbols - Nav

Cells/Tasks in various forms

Project "Cards"

Empty Tasks page with illustration, CTA, and pre-set content

Empty Projects page - a "Project Template" can be added here

Empty Lists page - Bright colors encourage action, blue = focus

Various cell-states for Tasks

Create/Edit a Task

Move Tasks between Projects/Lists

Projects - A great way to manage the flow and progress of client projects

Lists - A way to organize tasks, projects, and emails into groups

Menu - More options such as Notes, archive, and account settings

Desktop UI

I designed the plugin to be used directly in Gmail, without interfering with the user's vital inbox information. With the app window open, users could correlate tasks and inbox conversations with ease, turning messages into action items without leaving Gmail.

Userflows & Wireframes

In 1 day, I created a list of user needs and explored possible user-flows based on my own creative and project management process. Then I created "shell" templates for each screen, filling them in with crucial functionality based on user-needs.

UX Research

In the Design Sprint exercise, on day 1 I invested time into mind mapping, user-research using data found online, competitive research, product conceptualization, and rapid wireframing based on my findings.
